African road trip – Let’s explore here!
This is a map of our proposed African road trip from Morocco, around the west coast of the continent, up through the east to Egypt, and around the Mediterranean coast to Algeria.
Due to the uncertainty of conflict in a number of areas in Africa, this continent-spanning route may have to change. Also, current advice is that we avoid a number of countries due to political unrest and actual danger to life, which is why the route doesn’t transit all countries on the continent.
The planned route travels via Morocco – (the disputed) Western Sahara – Mauritania – Senegal – The Gambia – Senegal – Guinea-Bissau – Guinea – Sierra Leone – Liberia – Cote d’Ivoire – Ghana – Togo – Benin – Nigeria – Cameroon – Equatorial Guinea – Gabon – Republic of Congo – Democratic Republic of Congo – Angola – Namibia – South Africa – Lesotho – South Africa – Eswatini – South Africa – Botswana – Zambia – Zimbabwe – Mozambique – Malawi – Tanzania – Burundi – Rwanda – Uganda – Kenya – Ethiopia – Djibouti – Sudan – Egypt – Libya – Tunisia – Algeria.
Undoubtedly, as we arrive in each of these countries, we’ll want to explore far more than this general route provides for.

We’re also creating blogs for each country when we have data, or we can find decent wifi, and we have enough power!
If you’d like any information on any of these places, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
