North American road trips – Let’s explore here!

We’ve been planning our North American road trips for years. We’ve been lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel to some quite amazing places over the last few decades, taking local road trips to mammoth journeys across dozens of countries.

Some of the routes we’ve planned involve just one country in North America, such as Route 66 in the USA. Others traverse the whole continent of North America, such as the mighty Pan American highway.

Island hopping across the Caribbean

If you’re interested in road trips around the islands in the Caribbean, we’ve planned an extensive journey across almost all of the islands. The mammoth trip starts in Aruba, and travels through 30 countries and territories ending in Bermuda. Each country and territory has an individual plan for exploring the islands, e.g. Barbados, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, St Lucia or Guadeloupe.

When we’re planning our overland tours we tend to set out a general route, based on many other factors and circumstances, such as availability of visas, how amenable to being a digital nomad the country is, whether we need a carnet, what time zone it’s in, the weather and climate etc. 

We’ve already obtained a wealth of experience over the many years that we’ve been travelling. Whilst we’re on these journeys, we’ll inevitably see loads of places that we like and think yeah, let’s explore here! When we do, we’ll be adding more detail on the routes that we’ve taken to these travel pages, in the blog and throughout the site. Hopefully it will be useful.
